John and I are big dreamers. It isn't like us to start a blog (since neither of us are considered strong writers) but we have one particular dream on the horizon that we feel is share-worthy. We're starting to save up in hopes to one day set sail in the Caribbean. Compared to experienced cruisers, who spend years sailing around the world, this dream may seem small. To us, its realistic. We plan on taking a year off to traveling from island to island...diving as many reefs as possible. What makes us unique? Well perhaps having 12 legs on board will keep things exciting. Yes, you heard correctly... Reef and Caya are coming too.
When thinking of what we should name this blog, we went through a variety of catchy titles. Water wandering, dog daze, etc. Then John said to me "What is the one thing that we always have with us when we're on an adventure?" In unison, we replied "Our water bottles!" From the outside, one may think that we have an unusual attachment to our water bottles. Its not just because we have a collection of approx. 13 different water holding containers sitting in our cabinets. Its probably more evident from the fact that we can't go ANYWHERE without them. Church, the park, shopping, school, work, driving, a party, restaurants...you name it. Where there are fun times, our water is sure to be present. We thought the bottle deserved a little credit for keeping us hydrated and happy.
So there you have it. Stay tuned for more details as John and I start the beginning tasks of making our dream come true.
